The Volksworld Show, Sandown Park, 28th-29th March 2015

Sat 28th – Sun 29th March
Sandown Park Racecourse, Esher, Surrey, KT10 9AJ

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Karmann Ghia, and of course naturally an historic moment like this couldn’t pass by without a celebration.  Show sponsors VW Heritage have succeeded in persuading the Karmann Museum in Germany to loan, ship and display three prototypes in a special display area at the show. Cars include 1953 Karmann Ghia prototype, the never-seen before 1962 design study and the Type 34 Razor which are really going to blow you away. They are also supplying an original 1949 cut-away Beetle that illustrates how a Beetle is put together and what a fantastic piece of design it was.

Keith Seume, original editor of VolksWorld is back on board to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of Cal Look. The display organised is guaranteed to delight fans of fast moving, nose down Beetles. Definitive examples of the original 70s style have been brought together to create a homage to the term, ‘Califorina Look’ first coined by Hot VWs magazine four decades ago.

If you are thinking of camping at the show, only a very limited number of plots are left, so make sure you book your plot today. Camping allows you to extend your show enjoyment beyond the opening hours and into the evening. Why not stay and enjoy the company of your mates and an evening knees-up at the golf course bar, where Vision Tech Beats will be hammering out some tunes. If staying on site isn’t for you, then take a five minute pootle and join thousands of other VW enthusiast at one of the many bars and restaurants Esher town has to offer. With the benefit of quick access to the show we’d say you should head over to The VolksWorld website and get your mitts on one of the last plots.

Yes it’s a car show, but The VolksWorld Show is stuffed with entertainment, activities, and plenty to keep your eyes fixed, but be sure that nothing is missed! On top of the entertainment areas, club areas, the hidden treasures Swampmeet, and Trader’s marketplace, the 2015 VolksWorld Show has laid on a bundle of kids activities from face painting, to colouring competitions, to their own Splitscreen bouncy castle to bounce the day away. Tech talks have been scheduled to help you, inspire you and guide you, and of course no weekend at the show is complete without a visit to the Cool Flo entertainment arena. Highlights include demos on the BMX ramp, DJs and live music all weekend, breakdancing by the Cool Flo Dirty 30s crew, a fine display of old school BMXs from the 1980s and even Cajón drum workshops that you can participate in.

Not got your tickets yet?  Then be sure to save yourself some time on the day queuing and head to, and that’s without mentioning that you’ll save yourself some money with discounted prices for pre-orders. Advance ticket hotline closes on 24 March 2015.

And if we haven’t sold it to you yet, head over to the website and watch the collection of past show DVD’s to really whet your appetite –
