Attainable, especially if you don't mind LHD. Owain and a few others have brought a fair few in over the years. Not rare at all. RHD UK'er are tho - builders and the weather have not been kind to them because most were used for work vehicles.

You could get lucky and get an ex NATO one which has been in drystorage for most of its life - there are a few about.

I am going out to SA in 2 weeks time and one of the vans I am collecting is this one. It is ment to be rust free, but no engine. As you can see it looks quite sweet with a clean. It is in a part of SA that gets very little rain so expect there to be very little welding to none. If intrested get back to me and we can talk about it.

CRAP!!!!

Only just read back through and saw your post Shaveone!!!!!

Gutted!

PS - Yes I am the one and only Lucas from Cardiff that took your black bug. Ended up at the scrappy sorry mate, when I brought the beach buggy home from Leicester. Wish I'd kept it and re-built that, as I'm struggling to get the buggy finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
