Daz, so sorry to hear about your van and your friend's. Did they both have any security measures fitted. This concerns me greatly as i've just bought a T25 myself. I have just bought a disklok for it. Want it like fort knox but not gonna go stupid spending shed loads of cash on security meaures.
I guess you won't be at Tatton this w/e then. I'm going as am judging again.

We had a Vauxhall Vivaro van stolen from our yard at work. The wankers broke the padlock and took the van (unfortunately the it wasn't locked and the keys where in it). Now several months down the line we had a call from the local fuzz who informed us that the van was stopped in Yorkshire and the guy had bought it off a GYPO for 6k. So down on luck mate you've been done from driving a stolen van, lost 6k etc..
Hope the van is found soon.

The gypos normally camp around the M60 - Broadgate Business Park Junc 21 of the M60 ( Chadderton one ) is their usual haunt!! Also Oldham near OAFC ground top of broadway
I'll keep my eyes peeled around Chadderton, Moorside, Salford, Manchester City Centre, Bolton, Sale and Altrincham

I reckon if its pikeys theyre much more likely to scrap it for a quick oner than strip it...
:(
So, did these vans have any security measures? Just wondering to give others an indication of how sophisticated theses thieves are.. if theyre just screwdriver in the barrel merchants then theres lots of things that can be done to thwart em... but if theyre bypassing immobilisers etc then maye not...
