Hi mate,
Have you bolted the beam on yet ?
I got a CB 2" narrowed beam and im having to notch the shock towers !
The inner wings are fouling on it.
Nick.

No, not yet. Just finished painting it at 5 ish and now waiting for it to dry. Got to make something to eat also. Other front steering/suspension parts to paint yet before it all goes on. Easter weekend, fingers crossed.

Notching the towers....is that wise?
I'd rather massage the inner wings (single skin after all) as they're not structural.

What year bug is the beam going on? BJ or KnL beam?
Been led to believe that upto 2", no body mods. needed!!!

p.s. mines going onto a 69.

Evening Mr Val,

Yep, still want that beam....I have plans for it. ;)

The POR stuff is very much like any oil based paint i.e. Smoothrite, to work with, even smells like it....hhmmm!. Having read the instructions on the tin.....it does exactly what it says on the tin!!
Seriously thought, glad I did as it says to store once opened tins in the fridge with cling film between the lid and tin.

Painted it on with a brush and the brush marks disappear to a smooth finish...winner! Got the solvent also to thin the paint when spraying, which I didnt do, but used it for removing it of my hands etc, although gloves where worn. Still got through.
