Incase you didn't already know, if you file the forward edge of the brake pad to a slight angle (ie. so the pad is LESS than 90 Degrees to the surface of the disc) it REALLY DOES work!!!

I just used some sand paper to do it and for the first time in the last year they haven't sqeeled or screeched once!!! bliss!!!

Top Tip there dude. Only ever had drum brakes before so will give this a try!

Also put copper greese between the pad and caliper and no more squeel either.

Tried that always done it since day 1) and didn't seem to make a difference, though it may just have been the pads that were so noisy you couldn't hear that!! ha ha ha

Be carefull not to get it on your pad tho so apply sparingly!!

I also rub back with sand paper and copper grease the pins that hold the pads in

Why not use some anti-squel shims?

They came in the repair kit but I'll be buggered if they fitted my car!!!

Excellent tip, will try that one for definite, my squealing pads are getting right up my nose, didn't realise you could fix them at all! cheers!:D

Same trick works well on cross drilled disks to cut down on the noise generated by them. :D
