2003 beetle cabriolet hood

hi peeps anyone out there replaced the hood on a new shape beetle ? is it straight forward, or leave to the experts:eek:

The only one I've known done was at a main dealer and that went back 4 times before it was vaguely right - but that means very little as replacing hoods is not exactly a regular job.

I'd have a hood specialist do it - I can imagine there are a lot of "tricks of the trade" in that job.

thanks it was a job for a mate, hes now decided to go through insurance to be honest i think he's made the right decision i wasn't looking forward to it:)
