seriously? ive never had any issues!!! got a clean MOT and your fine... ask them where int he MOT/road standard book it say's anything about vehical height....

chances are the front beam is on adjusters and dropped spindles... it'll just need adjusting upwards...

jack it up, put 2x axle stands under the front beam, then undo the two bolts that hold a mad stepped clamp arrangement which are the adjuster on the cneter of the frotn beam, onc both nuts are off, and both of the 1 half of the adjusters are off, get you and a amte to just up and down the the wheel hubs, holding on tho the vans gutter rail on the roof, with all your weight on the grease cap/hub centre, the force of you and a mate jumpign up and down on the hubs will push the wheels down, and raise the van, once the adjuster plate is bolted back on, slighter further down the beam....

if its not on adjusters and cut and tunerd let me know it'll need wleded/dropped spindles removed... (id keep the spindles for a better ride....)

    alreet?

well you coudl try new shockers, chances are it needs tubs or raising, im guessing with your van being so low it'll have tiny shockers on the front, i fitted some to that 59 single i was workign on, £75 each.... eeek they are fully adjustable tho...

i can tub it, and put custom mounts on to run 'cheaper'/ normal size shockers if you want? might be cheaper to get the spax shockers and just tub it tho!

im currently unitless at the mo, so id be doign on site (urs) and only on good weather days...

let me know what you think!!
    cheers

Nope. But I'll certainly give Alex a shout when I need any doin. My mates got a MIG and I've done a bodyshop course at Blackburn college, but I'd want some serious practice in before tackling my bus. Lacking a garage or workshop of any type though which hinders things a bit.

Oooooo...nasty. Cheers again for the heads up pal. Got parts on order and will sort it myself once everythings together. Garage has always got to be a last resort. Alex is a proper sound fello! The job he's done with his thing is bloody brilliant. Top notch thread he had going on there.
Take it easy Danny! keeping my eyes peeled for your notch : )

Cheers fer the heads up Danny! My ignition barrel has seized, so I can't turn the key. Left me stranded for over 5hours the other day...grrrr! RAC tried and failed to get it running. I couldn't leave it where it was cos of restricted parking time so had to get it on the back of a truck. No way I could get it down my street so figured to be on the safe side a garage would be best in case I couldn't sort it myself.
A mate's had some welding there recently and suggested it. What did they do to your bus?? My mates recommendations don't have a very good track record. The last place he suggested to 8 months to re-build my engine!!!
Gonna be ordering the parts on Monday and to be honest was just gonna give them it to sort. I live just off Fishergate hill, so it's a bit of a palaver fixing it. Also I don't have the tool to get my steering wheel off.
You sold your tasty fasty and bought that split yet?? Glad your situation seems to have improved muchly from a while back matey : )
