Does anyone know where a can find a simple guide to fitting a lowered front beam to my beetle. This is my 1st project and although i've tinkered with cars this would be biggest job i'd done. Is it something a relative amateur could do fairly easily?
Shouldn't really have said adjustable, what i basically want to do is lower the front end of my beetle, currently just has stock ball joint beam.
What the best way to go
Either drop spindles or welding in adjusters or buying a new beam with adjusters already fitted.
If you want a severe drop you'll want both. Spindles will give a 2.5" drop and means you can use stock shocks. On an adjustable beam any more than that on a drop and you'll need new shocks. Drop spindles will give a better ride quality but you can lower with a beam a bit and still retain some comfort.
Its all on here.
