good campsite for groups in south east
As above, we have a group of 8, mainly couples and we want to go camping together with a camper van, awning, and 3 tents, but nobody seems to want to have us, all worried about large groups and making noise etc. I have tried explaining we're all mid to late twenties, with our girlfriends and really after some nice scenery and open spaces to play some sports rather that all night drinking and debaunchery.
Wondering if anybody could recommend somewhere a bit more liberal where we could go, fairly flexible on location, south each, norfolk, that sort of area.
Any help much appreciated.
Sam

Just as a quick update, ive just come back from a long weekend at Orchard Farm camp site in Suffolk.
I can highly recommend this place to anybody who wants a care free camping trip.
The camp site is well laid out and they don’t overcrowd it. Still plenty of room to play some sports and kick a ball around. The sell fire wood for the fires as well, budget a barrow per night @ £15.
We had 2 vans, and 4 tents, and they gave us loads of room. We could have fit the same again in the plot.
The little shop is wonderful. 40 different kind of ales wonderful…
They have fresh pastries etc every morning and all the meat you could imagine.
Wickham market is only about 10 minutes walk away (they also hire bikes if needed, £15/day, £10 half day). The town has a nice tea shop, fantastic butchers, a coop, martins, and a decent Indian restaurant.
We stopped off at Aldeburgh on the way back, which is 20 minutes drive from the camp site. This is a really nice seaside town, with a pebble beach. Definitely work a trip if you’re in the area.
Noise wise, they say no loud speaker music past midnight, which was fine. The whole place tends to quieten down from 12ish, which is nice. Theres a nice atmosphere from about 6ish onwards where everybody is starting off their camp fires and settling down for the evening. Apparently there was a group who made a bit too much noise on the Friday night, who didn’t seem too friendly but im sure this was just a one off.
All in all, a good site, well worth a visit.
p.s. Although I didn’t have a problem with my lowered van, I suspect the lower woodland area may be difficult to get out from if it rains as theres a fairly steep mud track.
p.p.s. Its worth booking up in advance as I think it gets very busy, especially in the kids holidays.

We went to Orchard Campsite in Wickham Mkt at the start of March. Well out of season so not fully up and running but a nice little campsite nonetheless. Good price at £16 per night (non hook up) Pretty laid back, we settled the bill when we left on an honesty basis on what we used. Short walk across the field to the High St (pub!).Looking forward to going back
