Engineering Tech A Q & A Forum devoted to Engineering Issues that don't necessarily fall into Aircooled or Watercooled Tech. Got a problem? Or an engineering question? Then ask in here. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

Default What's the widest roof (bed) option?

We have a Riverara top on our T2 which is too narrow for both of us and as it's not far off needing replacing I was wondering if there was a different option that gave a wider bed up top?

A viking bed gets pretty wide :-) This is from a T25, but the idea is the same on a bay I believe. You could, I assume, construct a flap in the central section that turns it into a full width chap.

My Early Bay resto thread

Plans for bits to make yourself:

Rock and roll style bed
Early bay gearbox mount
Early bay passenger seat brackets
Hoover bit
EB tailgate post
EB engine lid stay rollers
