This site is set at the far end of loch lomond, it has a great atmosphere and there is a good pub and decent restaurant. The cool bit about this site is that there is a fire in the seating area outside the pub so you are able to drink outside and not freeze to death. The main reason i visit this site is because it is within staggering distance of the Drovers Inn (formerly The Stagger Inn) which is probably my favourite pub in Scotland. On the negative side the area for parking vans is a bit dull and there is no 240v hook up. Definitely worth a visit.
Great spot...on the West Highland Way walk so you meet plenty of walkers. Good pub grub and Drovers Inn five minute walk away makes it all good.
We managed to park the van at the top of approach road rather than the hard standing/car park. Ground is soft elsewhere so the owners have an issue with you taking to the field. Fair enough.
Worth a visit if you're up that way.
Cheers, Dave
