MK1 GOLF CADDY TURBO DIESEL
 Bigify  Bigify  Bigify  Bigify Much to my disgust Im having to sell my beloved caddy, I bought her as a wreck and resored her myself over 14 months. I put my heart and soul into this caddy, this was the one, the car I intended keeping for a long time so I did a good job. I had a T4 before this caddy, that was a similar story, loadsa work building THE vehicle for me, after 6 years my wife decided it was impractical because it was too big and expensive to run. She got a new Toyota Corolla Verso and I got to ride to work in the rain for over a year. I bought the caddy and totally sorted it and having loved it for over a year guess what, its impractical, its too small! Specs the bits mentioned are either custom fabricated or new at time of build (8000 miles ago) Engine: Tuned 30,000mile 1.6 GTD diesel engine good for 80-120 bhp depending on where you set the boost controller. Fitted a few weeks ago 2.5 stainless downpipe Front mount intercooler behind grille 5 Speed short GTI box Weighted shift rod and adjustable short shift kit New quality battery with 4 year warranty a few weeks ago. Brand new performance aluminium rad New cam belt less than 500 miles ago Suspension and Brakes: Front lowered on -35 GTI springs Rear lowered on -85 plates retains full suspension travel Mk 1 GTI discs and pads Handbrake cable Rear shoes and one rear wheel cylinder Modified GTI front anti roll bar (not currently fitted and not really missed) Interior Custom roof lining + BMW light GX interior with chrome trim Good black carpet Custom MK1 dash with crystal LEDS and RARE! diesel revcounter Alarm and central locking Electric windows New windscreen Glass rear screen Fully carpeted/trimmed inside Removable bespoke sub box with 10 sub/ set of component speakers and two large storage compartments. Exterior Chrome trim on grille/windscreen and front bumper Remote adjust GTI door mirrors Smoothed tailgate with lettering Stripped to shell, rolled over and undersealed with 6 litres of shutz New copper brakelines throughout Cavities waxoyled Stainless roll pan German plates Bike rack for three bikes with tie down points build story here MOT Until mid Nov TAX until May? She aint no show car but a few hours in the spray shop would sort that - she is a loved and used daily, everything works, ultra reliable cheap to run truck - that will also embarass GTI's and cruise at 80. I need to get four seat for kids so if you have a PX......gotta be VW, gotta be waterchilled and ideally a mk1 golf or a later TDI - whatcha got? |
