Default Fancy some fake Rust, Patina or Signwriting?...

Been meaning to post this for a while now, I paint Scenery for a living and did a fake Patina paint job on my Bay Panel a couple of years back..

Not long after that I painted "Mater" for Disneyland Paris with a full on fake burnt paint/rust and aged Signwriting, this is the second Mater in the world the first one is in America...(of course).

Can also do a "light" age with painted on paint chips.

Im offering this service to the VW folks, we dont all have perfect sun burnt paint jobs but you can have something close. Its only for smiles and yes its fake but it will look cool and can easily be removed when youve had enough of it.

I can work on your VW in London or Kent or could come to you if you have a work space.
Please visit my website www.scenicartservices.co.uk

one more pic, this is real.......

But you could have something like that. Poor or rattle can paint jobs are a perfect basis for a faked paint job.

Later...

I've just bought a bay, and its currently being sorted and slammed at T2D. I'm not very keen on the paint work though and might be interested in finding out what can be done with it, I was thinking about "wearing" down the green a little as its that, that i'm not keen on....

Something like that I would say flat it down and just break through to primer or any other colours underneath. Then Id use a couple of similar colours and make it look a little like its had repairs etc then some rust etc...some logos, signwriting...anything.

If you come across any images you like keep them as a reference.

Give me a shout if you want to sort something out.

Ha was kinda dreading that question.... Mater was a week with me and an assistant!! £££ Disney have big bucks!!

Its a hard question to answer, kind of decide how much you want to spend, i need to see the paint on it now, can you prepare it, where are you based, do you want signwriting...?? Lots of factors, but between £100 for a few rusty patches to £1000 for a whole Panel van Mater quality...and every price in between.

I've got this (original) on one door on the split, but on the other door, nothing. Would quite fancy the same (wouldn't need to be 'aged' on the other door too. Any idea of price? I live Norwich, but work Stansted, or could go further south if need be....
