| Chat / Discussion Kind of like a VW Club Online you can sit in our virtual pub and talk about whatever you want to. All opinions are valid, but no insulting (to more than our intelligence), abusive or libellous posts. Please feel free to post your opinion on any given subject, but also be aware that the other 7 billion inhabitants of this planet have the equal right to disagree with you - and some will certainly tell you so.
No 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads too . . . and please don't use JUST to post links to other VW Forums/websites - we are aware that other sites exist (obviously), but blatant 'plugs' (poaching) will simply be deleted. |

Any dishwasher repair specialists?
I need a spare part for a Miele dishwasher.
It's a top water jet arm. The arm just screws into a locking bush which in turn screws to the machine. The actual part appears to be obsolete.
My question is, can you get a universal part or can I cannibalise a part off another machine?
There can't be that many different types of thread, can they?
Thanks in advance.

Oooh please may I ask a question too, my carlton slimline one won't fill up, the water pipe was changed because it was leaking now its not filling at all, there is water getting to it as I took the pipe part way off & got soaked
I have searched on the internet & it points to the float (which isn't moving as it should) but not a clue how to remove it if thats what it is Can anyone shed any light please?

I wanted another matching shelf for my cooker as it only had one (and did not want one of the "universal make it fit" things)
They got me one and it arrived a few days later, so no complaints.

I'd (guess) its going to be very similar to the way the cistern / float works in the toilet (a plastic ball on an arm with a valve on it) , probably just stuck closed, arm stuck etc.
Unless its electronic then it may be more trouble (solenoid water valve maybe)
Just random and hopefully helpful thoughts.

If it was working before you replaced the pipe it's more likely that you've kinked the pipe pushing the dishwasher back.
Pull it out, have a look and try it before you push it back in.

You know, that's the answer that's quite likely to be right as its so simple everyone overlooks it
