As for the discussion side of it, i am glad its turning out this way.As i want as much usable info in here, for the novice folk out there, like myself.

Biggest lesson learnt so far.....a boring but important one all the same is................................................ ............patience

I do have a few more parts on the way,so once i get them i hope to be able to progress a wee bit more......

I should get my carbs soon and then they will need to go away for work and the my heads need flycutting too......so lots more still to come

Talking about distributors I have managed to acquire a vertex scintilla magneto distributor.
It is I think quite rare as I have only ever seen one before. I am also saving my pennies so I can build a high revving engine out of a 1200 case and crank. Or that's the plan anyway.

Just read this hole thread. Its very inspiring. I've been taking loads of note as I'm new to building engines too.

I've just started a 1776 EFI Turbo Megasquirt Edis build for my beach buggy after about two years of saving and collecting parts.

Not at the engine building stage yet (can't wait)... but hope to be starting work on my motor very soon.

I bought my Megasquirt FI as a custom kit from Mario at The Dub Shop. net in the US. He is a really nice guy and I would recommend his kits to anyone wanting to go EFI.

firstly my apologies for not replying sooner....i got invlolved in a little moped ride

Secondly, im glad to read you are finding the thread useful

custom made barells.....in post....
exhaust system...in post


ive been saving (and selling stuff) like mad,so ive got most of my bits to get into long block mode...............in fact i just need,oil cooling set-up...alternator set-up ...fan housing/tinware...and that is it

my 48 ida's are due to go off for the 3rd progression hole to be sorted and my heads still need to be flycut....

pics will follow of said parts (and other parts ive not mentioned) in the next week or two.................



to say ive suddenly come over all nervous,is, an understatement...for some reason,even tho ive done all this ^^^^^ in the thread already,its suddenly become very real......

Pistons............these are fookin sexy.....wiseco 94mm





for the sharp eyed folk amongst you....dont worry for now about the writing on the inside of the lid.........i would rather cover/explain that when i come to fit the pistons......this way it will hopefully help rather than confuse the novices amongst us...........


whats that you say?....you cant see the pistons.............oh well s'pose i'd best get one out then to show you.........
