Airbrushing a Splitty ratlook
Airbrushing a Vw splitscreen Panelvan Ratlook. Son wanted a fast colour change on his van..so we went RAT;) aged look without the rust;)
When my lad brought his splitty the colour was yellow and blue. My son did not like it as it was, so wanted a fast colour change without the cost and time of preping and repainting.
I got to work with the other half. first put some coats of paint on then airbrushed.
Gets better when you don't wash it...after a few weeks of road dirt etc.
Would like to do a few more as enjoyed doing it.
At least it had a few more coats of paint on it until a resto can be done..preserving it for many more years...so all good.
I know not to everyones taste..but hey we like to be different from the norm;)

Pull Start Beetle with strap on pulley.MOV
Old Volkswagens go on for ever but did you ever realise how easy they are to start even with a flat battery.
This is my 70's beetle being started with a cargo strap on a standard Alternator pulley.
Handy tip for cold morning, flat battery starts. ;)

Rescued from a dying Philips N1700 video cassette - here is the legendary Top Of The Pops performance of 'Machadaynu' from 1979.
A long forgotten performance, due to the fact that it was broadcast the day after the 3-month long ITV technicians strike finally ended, and almost the entire viewing nation tuned into the return of Coronation Street and 3-2-1, instead of BBC1 that evening.
As if this wasn't enough, the song dropped out of the charts the very next week, amid allegations of hyping, letting Gary Numan claim the No.1 spot, and the credit for the birth of futurist music. However, this long lost clip tells the true story.
