That's right... over 1,000,000 documented posts have been made to Volkszone's forum!!

We last reported that the member count was 6000 members, well that number is now a drop in the ocean compared to the staggering 22,000 members who now enjoy Volkszone.

Forums now fully upgraded

We recently upgraded the forums to the latest version of VBulletin and it has proved to be a huge success.

The new version offers users more features and allows us to thank all those that have become "Member Sponsors" by giving them extra features.

Check out the forums if you are new to Volkszone... with over 11,000 members its the largest aircooled VW community in the UK, Europe?, the World?

VZi Online VW Community now has OVER six thousand members . . .

Even allowing for 'moved aways', 'deceased' and 'double (or multiple) registrations', this makes Volkszone the LARGEST VW ONLINE COMMUNITY ON THE PLANET

The recent move to 'Mailbox' and subsequent 'upgrade' of their servers went 'as smooth as silk'.

We've also added a NEW forum . . .

MOVERS & SHAKERS
Can you 'taxi' someone to a show? Pick up some parts for someone? Need something grabbing from Bristol and taking VW Action? Requests and offers here please . . . Don't forget, gas money makes for happier drivers ;)

VZi back up again ... here's what happened

Just had a bit of a frantic few hours as you can imagine...

Apologies for the 'stop hitting refresh' page. That was put up to stop the 1000s of database error emails I was getting every few minutes. I would have liked to put a bit more info on there but needed to stop people trying to access the database as quickly as possible.

The server hosters had a bit of a mad afternoon when a router went pop, during this time they shutdown the server with no warning. During this time the database must have become damaged due to it being halfway through a request.

I have just repaired some damaged tables in the database and everything seems to be back on track again.

If they had prewarned us of the impending shutdown I could have closed the forum for a while and reopened again as soon as possible. The first either Brian or myself knew about it was when we phoned tech support...

We are in the process of moving the site to, what we hope, will be a more stable environment. We will prewarn you when this is happening.

www.volkszone.co.uk has added a new 'Readers Ride' Forum or members to post up pictures and specifications of their vehicles.

Covering everything from 'projects' to finished 'show cars' and anything in between. Be sure to check it out whaen you visit the ZONE.
