Well there's something new for VW enthusiasts to
look forward to this Christmas, the Volkszone Xmas
Party!
The Volkszone Xmas Party, at the Royal Hotel and
the High Street, Southend-On-Sea, on Saturday 27th
December, features three seperate rooms with music
to appeal to most tastes:
Dance/House/D&B in the basement
Ska/Punk/2tone/Northern Soul/RareGroove in the
street level bar
'National Anthems' Disco Party in the historic
Ballroom
'Historic?' you bet... just over 200
years ago in the very same ballroom, and just months
before his death, Lady Emma Hamilton was hosting
a ball in honour of Admiral Lord Nelson. These
type of events at the venue were well known
for hedonistic goings on literally all night...
the Georgians knew how to enjoy themselves!
And now it's our turn... A full on party athmosphere
will be provided by DJs including VZi's own Trademark,
Babah Jonah (Redchurch) Steve
Coops (Sectioned) Brett
Hawksbee (Baggy
Trousers) and Brizey B & Kevo
Thunder (Big Bang/Deva/VW Action
- 'National Anthems' set with Dancers). The
bars are licensed until 5am, so you can really
party yourself out!
And
the Volkszone Xmas Party is
much more than just a Disco/Dance
Party,
with a Show & Shine,
a Seafront Cruise, a Swapmeet,
and an Auction to include some
of the lots which there was just not enough time
to feature in the VW Action Charity Auction this
summer.
Due only to the capacity of the venue, tickets,
priced at £10 per person, are limited to
350, and arrangements are being made to offer
overnight parking space for camper vans. These local Hotels have rooms at very competitive
