Aircooled Accesories – a new player in the scene
New to the market last year was Aircooled Accessories, a UK based company specialising in rare, unusual and desirable parts and accessories for VWs, and although the company itself is relatively new, the founder has had an array of VWs for many years, including bugs, buses, type 3’s and ghia’s.
Having been aware of the business since last year, AAC has expanded to produce an ample selection of desirable accessories, with everything from gravel guards to exhaust trims, and with the promise of new products to come, we’re certainly looking forward to seeing what’s next for AAC. Another thing worth a mention is the vintage collection that’s fairly new to the website, with various one-offs and retro pieces – we’re particularly fond of the vintage skis at the moment! From a VW owner’s perspective, it’s great to see a company so focussed on bringing the discerning VW driver the chance to accessorise or over-accessorise their ride, especially with such genuinely rare and unusual pieces. Of course, some of the prices reflect the rarity of the products, but we were happy to see such a price-conscious retailer, with all items having competitive price tags. Our favourite item? The bonnet emblems – a particularly unusual piece – and a real steal at only £74.99 for the polished aluminium finish, or £59.99 for a patina-look version. Get ’em while they’re hot…
