Just bought an 1835 motor (its striped down to a shortblock) its got an upgraded crank as its 8 dowel flywheel fitment. Dont know the spec but the guy thinks its bugback. Non vw cam dont know what spec yet, extended sump, welded fan, big valve heads 40mm x 35mm ( need porting)
The guy bought it approx 5 years ago with 0 miles on it. Hes forgot the spec. Ran it in his 914 did 3,000 miles then took it out and sold the car been sat innhis garage for a few years. Looks new inside no cam scoring
All for £400
Oh and he gave me another brand new crank 8 dowel
so looks like i will sort the 1835 out and fit that
