1971 Type 3 Late Fastback

Bought this from jonny5f on here.

This is my new rolling project, picked it up on Saturday 8th. Heres a few photos

All the grime from the drive back from Cornwall

Few under floor shots, shes very solid!

And now the money shots after a quick pressure was (which handily didn't blow and holes thru the body!)

Currently I have no heating. should get it fixed this evening. But long terms plans involve a larger engine. Looking for 120hp, rebuild transmission with longer final drive and up rated front disc's. The short terms is to find the rust and stop it before it gets to far! and just a general tidy up! Suggestions and comments welcome people, If anyone has any bits pm, I know they're quite hard to come by!

Only other welding i know if its bit between the front valance n spare wheel well, ill post pics soon, its not that bad in the sence that nothing falls out, but its still about na inch hole so ill sort it when the weather drys out abit.

I dont have much history but a guy on retro rides thinks its his old car from 8 or 9 years ago.where is that local to? Previous owner bought in chelmsford area n took it to cornwall and ive brought it back to chelmsford area. but it will also be rnd lincoln haha.

think ive worked out i could be the 8th owner as it had two up to 2000. would the dvla beable to tell me any history on it?
