Wow, really pleased we now have a KG section:D:D:D. Here is a picture of where i picked up my '66.
Alarm bells should have been ringing as she had been left there for at least 3yrs! I guess i had bitten off more than i could chew although i haven't made it easy for myself as apart from the resto i have built a 2054 to go in.

Story so far, new wiring loom almost complete, new carpet arrived..wrong colour:rolleyes: haha..never a dull moment:)

Thanks, on the '66 there were a lot of 'one year only' bits and bobs  I bet your 57 has some interestingly priced parts? Or was she complete? That will look stunning, i love lowlites.

ghia57 21-02-2016 09:36 PM

I have 3 lowlites so plenty of parts there

Hello Rogueleader, long time no speak how's the Ghia coming on?

Mine's engine/gearbox less at the moment for it's winter rebuild :-)

rogueleader 22-02-2016 08:18 PM

Hi Carl, i'm always keeping an eye on your KG through all the sites, looking forward to your FI install:D. I'm still plodding along, i'm finding that virtually everything i'm putting back needs refurbishing or replacing. Family/work etc has slowed progress dramatically but i'm really enjoying the time i have with her, i think she's a family member now lol.

I had Efi on my 2276 in the 74 ghia I had last year, was a really nice motor, I just prefer Ida's. What is the spec on your motor?

carl s 22-02-2016 11:58 PM

The EFI is a collection of parts from Speedshop, his Tb's plus AEM EMS4 ECU, loom, toothed wheel timing sensor, coilpack, sensors etc.

The engine is a 76mm long stroke with 1955cc (from memory) and runs twin 40's at the moment. Suffered fuel starvation issues last year plus gearbox needed a rebuild so the whole lot came out. However time is overtaking me at the moment as i have a big trip planned in a couple of months. So I'm just going to finish the new fuel lines installation & conversion to electric fuel pump for now and put the engine & carbs back on. That way it'll be a lot easier to fit the EFI in phase 2 :-)
