Still working on the door alignment but spent some time stripping the 3 mm of paint and filler off the bonnet. Tried using the jet wash sand blasting attachment on the pressure washer. Was great and removed the first couple of layers of paint (very messy job) the quality of the blasting is massively effected by the dry sand you use. The rest of the layers were removed using paint remover which worked great because the sand had left a good keyed surface on the paint. Then I used a heat gun to peak off the filler. Someone has been watching too many US restoration programs because the bonnet was coated all over in filler ( mud)!
