Take a look on the likes of Shiply and see if it's worth your while?
Local pickups could be good?

Shiply will make your heart sink and sell up before you start! I'm sure there is a way to use Shiply effectively but its based on every job being a backload. You could quote £150 on Essex to Manchester and someone will quote £140! Most of the punters on there haven't actually bought the car, just fancy it on eBay.

Good point re ebay. Maybe only quote on jobs which don't have a link to it?

It's shit!?! only way to make is to have a truck and trailer and to have a job each way,,, insurance was like 3k for me, and there's all away some one in a transit? that will do it for less,, I pad a guy to do a pick up for me 260mile trip for £150 it would cost me £120 in fuel..you would get pad more to be a euro parts van driver!

Having a trailer would turn it into a tachometer requirement scenario though wouldn't it?

I have been doing it for over a year, its a learning curve for sure.
I went for a three and half ton beaver tail can be driven on a car licence .
Also get some bed and butter work for in between car work. It did help on the not busy months for sure.
Shiply is a joke with some of the quotes .
I did leaflet drops, word of mouth got better results. Plus car clubs .
Seven and half ton vehicle talking big money ,running cost high.
Got a trailer as well now and landrover. It does more work than the truck.
Insurance shop around, some will be tight on loading rules.
Do your research who else does the same thing in your area.
What do they charge ?
Goodluck
