Default Where do you get your news from?

With all this Corona Virus 'news' at the moment I'm reading more and more things about fake news in relation to the virus and have been hearing about it in other news items for a while.

I generally just go to the BBC and assume/hope/pray that it has a semblance of fact in it but I honestly don't know.

I honestly am not tech savvy enough to know where to go or how to distinguish between genuine and fake stuff thats out there.

So where or how do you get your news?

I tend to use the BBC for UK news and a channel called France 24 - which is an English speaking channel (with no apparent 'bias') covering French news.

BBC or RTE (Raidió Teilifís Éireann) for me. Some of the stuff going round the internet is batshit crazy!

I get mine from a variety of sources, of different ends of the political spectrum. The one news source I won't entertain is SKY. Every time a report has popped into my feed, the report has been read with a sensationalism of bad news.. like the news reader is really chuffed when the death toll exceeds the previous day...or a healthy person dies.... and if the number of deaths is lower than the previous day...it's "let's ignore that..let's concentrate on Spain" . I guess it's the same reason I don't buy the scum newspaper.

Thanks guys, seems I'm doing ok with the BBC, just when you start reading bits and pieces here and there I start questioning myself

I read the odd headlines on the BBC site as its my laptops firefox home page but to be honest i'm trying to avoid reading the stories as much as possible as its doing my anxiety no good at all.

Theres very few news stories about the number of people who have recovered, like the 80 year old with lung cancer i read about a couple of days ago who is now fully recovered and has been sent home.

.
Its hard to avoid it isn't it?
I try and watch the news once a day only. Evening time just to catch up on the days events.
Got history with anxiety also so have to keep tabs on that.
