Vehicles For Sale If you have a Vehicle for Sale or are looking for something - Take a Browse Around. Private sales only please. Commercial and 'regular' sellers, please take a banner advert or become a Member Sponsor and support the site before running your 'business' or 'just selling' through VZi. VZi Classifieds were originally set up as a 'free to use' facility for the members who contribute with threads and replies in the Mech Tech, Chat and Readers Rides forums etc. As VZi has got bigger, we see more and more new Members who ONLY ever post in the Classifieds and contribute nothing (neither monetary nor in content) to the forums. This is fine, however to use our facility this way you will need to become a Member Sponsor.

Default VW Baja California Beetle: Show Standard

This amazing VW Baja California Super Beetle started life as a standard 1974 1303S and was used by the previous owner’s mother as her daily means of transport.

In 2010, after the car had passed to her son, it was then dismantled into its individual component parts and over the next two years, at a cost of around £36,000, it was rebuilt in the style of a traditional California-style Baja Beetle by DC Customs of Northamptonshire.

Body has had a full, ground up, bare metal restoration including a 2” roof chop, front and rear bodywork chopped away to reveal engine and front suspension as per Baja conversion.

It’s had a frame head conversion which involved removing the standard suspension set-up and welding in a pre-66 frame head to allow fitment of a link pin beam suspension.

• Rack and pinion steering conversion. Custom made front suspension is 6” wider the 10” shock towers.

• Rear suspension arms are 3” longer and 3” wider than stock with custom shock mounts.

• Front and rear disc brakes with stainless braided hoses.

• 1641cc engine with performance exhaust and twin carburettors giving approximately 70-80bhp.

• Body painted in House of Kolor candy paint.

• Engine tin ware, floor pan, fuel tank and ancillaries are custom painted in Metal Flake paint

• Spot lights mounted to custom made front bull bar and custom made light roof bar.

• Engine protection bull bar fitted to rear.

• Leather and suede interior retrim, new custom carpet set, vinyl head liner, new steering wheel.
• Stereo with 4 speakers, bass box and amplifier.

• Custom Glass throughout due to roof chop.

• Alarm and Immobiliser CAT1

• Flocked dash fitted with extra gauges

• SCAT Quick shift.

• All new seals, stainless nuts, bolts and washers throughout.

The odometer was reset to zero at the first MOT, after the rebuild in September 2012. It now has only 2,700 miles on the clock.
Supplied with a V5C registration document and a history file.

Ultra VW magazine voted ‘Best street legal Baja in the UK’ 2012
This Bug received the very highest quality conversion and is a real head turner as well as a being a potential show winning car.
