I "completed" my volksrod build earlier this year. I have owned the car for over 10 years where it has been in a garage in pieces. The last 2 years I've really pulled my finger out to get this car back on the road.
The plan for this car is to go custom but to keep some originality to the end product. I went through a phase of wanting to smooth everything out how ever during the metal work phase the front and rear clip were far to gone to save along with a chunk of the inner arches. Having cut out the rust infected areas it just looked "right" as a volksrod.
Work continued and before I knew it the car was reborn with a lot more attitude.
Since these photos were taken the car has a new exhaust and dual carbs.

AS41 engine case line bored crank polished
Engle 110 cam
New bearings and lifters
Twin port heads
Vw shop sidewinder exhaust.
