Readers Rides Post pics, specs and build-up stories of your vehicles - or even your garages here. Also interesting stuff about your 'daily drivers' etc. or interesting cars you have seen on your travels, even motors-based TV shows you can recommend. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

Thanks chaps, I appreciate the nice comments.

Another couple of steps backwards today though. I haven't been happy with the inner edge of the nearside wing. There was too much shape in it and it didn't fit the framework where the bonnet edge will be.
So I've had to cut it out in order to shrink the edge to make it sit down properly.

It's got to be right!!

Ran out of time today. I did manage to tack the headlight mounting in place though. Some of the gaps are a little bigger than ideal for welding I'll do my best!

All welded in and sanded down. Headlights always make a car look better

Next job is the valance then on to the scuttle. That's when I will finally feel like I'm making progress.

Oh I've always known what colour I'm painting it......

I'm not

It's going to be left bare aluminium. I will grain it with scotch pads and that's it. I want it looking old. I don't want it polished or shiny.
I was very set on this right from the start.

I also want it to showcase what I can do. A sort of rolling advert for myself.

And I also don't want the fibreglass kitcar look.
