Readers Rides Post pics, specs and build-up stories of your vehicles - or even your garages here. Also interesting stuff about your 'daily drivers' etc. or interesting cars you have seen on your travels, even motors-based TV shows you can recommend. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

Gonna go with 185/65/15 size on mine.
Never been called your Zebedee before. Normally its just miserably old bastard.

There was a dark blue mexi bug round here running those fugly wheels until a few months back but its now got banded steels on instead.
Well, you miserable old bastard (you asked for that ) if you see that Mexi again and you’re feeling sociable just ask out of curiousity if he still has the Anteres wheels kicking about

However, after much umming and ahhing Iíve decided the lessons wonít be taken on this car and Britney will be leaving the warm bosom of Castle GreySmull soon. Iíll continue to clean and tidy over the next week or so but then sheíll be going on eBay.

So if anyone wants what will be one of the cheapest running & driving MOTíd bugs available, get in touch.

How bad is the rust?

What do you think you will replace it with? I have to admit being a little disappointed when I read through the thread from start to finish!

Here was me thinking I was arriving fashionably late to the party, just in time to find its over before its got going. You are a cad and a tease Smull sir!

You have been bitten by the bug drug. The cravings will return after you sell it. I can guarantee it. Should have kept Rudolph.

I can only apologise dear reader. It's no basket case but, I bought this on a whim, sight unseen, from memory and whilst I expected some work, welding wasn't part of the plan. It was never to be a keeper, more a bit of spring & summer fun . I'll share further pics when the weather gives me a break so that I can finish what I started and give it a tidy.

I probably shouldn't have sold Rudolph but I definitely shouldn't have sold Consuela. I am a fool.

Consuela was for sale before Christmas, but the trail has gone cold. The current owner had sorted out the technical wibbles, and even had the whole electric magic box do-das to make future ownership easier.

Mate, you've clearly got a bit of a thing for red Mexis. Have you not thought about actually keeping one of them? Just an idea ;-)
