Chat/Discussion Kind of like a VW club online - you can sit in our virtual pub and talk about whatever you want to. All opinions are valid, but please no insulting (other than to our intelligence,) abusive or libellous posts. Please feel free to post your opinion on any given subject, but also be aware that others have the equal right to disagree with you - and some will certainly tell you so. No 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your business, links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (please use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled "What's my car worth?" threads too (please use the 'Dude! What's My Car Worth?' forum) - and please don't use just to post links to other VW forums or websites - we are aware that other sites exist (obviously), but blatant 'plugs' (poaching) will simply be deleted.

I've been shaving my own head for the last twenty or so years, seems a little bit quicker every time I do it. Must be getting better with practice!

I'm another one who had really long hair from the mid 80's to late 90's, and when it started going thin on top I went for a lot shorter cut - maybe 3 on the sides, a bit longer on the top. I've found though that now I'm 49 the thin spot is big enough for the cuts to get shorter and shorter each time You can't even have it long enough to have a parting, or it looks like you're trying to do a comb-over!
I've got a beard trimmer - maybe I'll get Mrs Orb to give it a go on my noggin once it gets too bad.

This thread has made me realise I've had the same haircut for 20 years
Seems to be a common theme, same here since 1998.........keep threatening to change but as soon as it starts getting near long enough to go back to my 90s middle shade I give in and get it chopped. Luckily I got mine cut a couple of weeks ago or I'd be looking like a mixture between Dougall from magic roundabout and Chesney hawkes again..........

I only get my hair trimmed once every 6 months or so, much to my hairdressers annoyance! 6 weeks she says, I just never seem to get round to it.
When I was in the RAF my wife often cut mine for me with the clippers, but since I left the RAF 10 years ago I have let it grow long. Its half way down my back now!! Does need a trim now though but at least my hairdresser can't tell me off this time, not my fault!!

I’d decided to make the most of the enforced isolation, and not shave for the duration.

This morning her ladyship says to me “will you be having a shave today?... that’s not a question”

I do look ridiculous though.
