Default SCAT Spring loaded pushrod tubes - o-ring question

Got these from Cool Air last week (part number AC10920175) but can't figure out why there are 4 o-rings (brown ones are smaller diameter than the black one).

Any ideas how they're meant to fit together?

Can’t help you with which ones to use but just in case you’ve not fitted them before, oil the rings first and work the tube up and down a few times on a table or something similar to get them seated correctly... they’ll leak for sure if not...

So, I emailed SCAT as was confused about this. Got a response below from Eddie which went like this:

"The O ring to use itís the brown one."
*
"Thanks Eddie. Why are the black ones also shipped with the tubes then?"

"Our manufacturing ships them with the tube, but the brown is Viton better heat resistant."

Looks like there are 2 groves on the smaller tube to me. Why not fit both?

Yes, there are 2 grooves but there and 4 o-rings supplied. 1 groove to 1 o-ring, so there's always going to be 2 o-rings that are surplus to requirements. The question has always been, which 2 o-rings to use...but now we know
