Default 15" tyres for my 72 Bay

Hi

Got some gas burner reps to replce the steel wheels on my Bay. What size tyres would you guys recommend??

It really depends what look you are after. Bays ride horribly on low profile tyres, so try to avoid this route unless looks have priority over ride comfort, handling and safety.

What is the offset of your wheels?

If it is inappropriately small, as many after-market wheels for VW Type 2s are, there is a risk of many appropriate tyres rubbing against the wheel arch.

The ideal tyre sizes would be 195/70 R15C or 215/65 R15C which have virtually the same external rolling circumference as 185 R14C tyres.

I've smart car tyres on the front and 195/65/15 on the rears on 4.5 and 5.5 Fuchs, it's low and shite to drive compared to standard however it really all depends on what you're after... I personally like the challenge of driving it and looking at my slammed patina'd bus
