Imported from Oregon in 2015, this super solid bus was taken back to the original paint and waxed (L90D Pastel White over L91D Kansas Beige). It had no filler at all, has never had a replacement panel and has only ever had a battery tray and front floor repair, 100% solid with nothing to hide. With good sills, gutters, rockers & floors this is a good, solid proposition for someone to improve further or to enjoy exactly as it is. The bus has also recently been serviced so is good to go!

Obviously tax & MOT exempt but a fresh MOT can be put on for the new owner if required as this would pose no problem for the bus.

Inside are new weave carpets, freshly reupholstered Porsche tombstone front seats with new matching rear seats and cabin. In the rear thereís a rock íní roll bed, 2 x buddy seats & a Danbury table & leg. Hideaway cooker & grill, new curtains, insulated panels and roof panels in ply.

Also to be found are a wood steering wheel, Scat shifter, oil temp and pressure gauges & air ride controls.

Running Gear

T2D front, narrowed and adjustable beam.
Front and rear US HD Gabriel air shox with tank, gauges and paddles.
Rear adjustable spring plates.
Recent front discs, callipers, pads, lines, flexies, shoes & drums.
SSP TUV polished 5 x 130 Fuchs alloys with good tyres (including the spare).

Chassis is 100% solid and never welded. Not tubbed or notched, all original.

Engine

PHOTO-2020-06-24-13-18-25-1 by Andrew Smullen, on Flickr

The bus is fitted with a smooth running 1776cc engine making around 90 bhp at the wheels which pushes the bus along nicely compared to the original unit.

The engine is built around an AS41 full flowed case with polished & ported heads, high lift rockers, 40mm inlet, 35.5mm exhaust valves & twin 40 Weber carbs. The unit also features an MST serpentine pulley, stainless vintage speed tuck-away exhaust and j tubes, new tinware, Malpassi filter & all new fuel lines and breathers.

For piece of mind the engine bay also features a full auto fire extinguisher and a battery isolator.

Summary & Price

In summary, this is a good, straight & honest air-ride patina bus that is solid in all the right places featuring some nice sensible extras to make it an easy van to live with. The only slight negative to mention is the right rear quarter which can be seen in bare metal on the pictures. When taking the van back to the original paint some damage was found preventing that area being returned to beige. However, this area is waxed so will not rust and a replacement rear quarter panel is included with the sale should you decide to repair it.

If you would like to see more numerous and detailed pics of the bus to look through at your leisure (56 of them to be exact!), a Flickr album is available for you here:

In addition to the features listed, the van also comes with some further parts to sweeten the deal. Those being:

A full awning used only once!
A 2 bow roof rack.
An Eberspšcher petrol heater. (Not fitted).
Electric window wash upgrade. (Not fitted).
Finally there is a general box of spares including the aforementioned, replacement rear quarter panel.

Iím posting this advert for my brother in law, Gary who can be contacted on 07496 364157. Alternatively, you can contact me (Andy) via PM or email ([email protected]) and Iíll help out with your enquires.

And what is the price? Well, for all this bus-shaped loveliness (and the spares & accessories), Gary is asking £14750 o.n.o. but all serious offers will be listened to so feel free to contact either of us to put a deal together.

The bus is located near Warrington in Cheshire and is close to the M56 / M6 / M62 road network, so a breeze to reach from most places.

Thanks for reading!
