ignition timing with Accuspark distributor
Hi everyone,
just a quick question, i have purchased a Accuspark vac electronic dizzy and was wondering when setting up the timing is it advisable to pulloff the vacuum hose from the dizzy to the carb and also i have a vacuum hose from the inlet manifold (under the carb) going up to the oil bath filter and have read somewhere this needs pulling off and plugging too if setting the timing....any advice would be great !.
Many thanks,Rob.

The vacuum hose from the Manifold to the Air Cleaner must remain in place during timing.
The only Vac hose which should be disconnected and plugged is the one from the Carburettor to the Vacuum advance can on the distributor.

Those things are absolute dog turd. Mine lasted all of 6 miles before the module burnt out and i chucked the lot in the bin and put the 009 back in with Pertronix module and it's been perfect for 6 years

I did nearly 30,000 miles on an Accuspark module in a Bosch SVDA on my Bay and the one in my Beetle is still 100% fine.
