Alternate Engine Got a Scooby motor in the back of your dub? Or a V8? Alfa? You know a Porsche motor drops straight in - right? This is the forum for you. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

Question UK Turnkey Subaru Conversion Companies - Speedster

I'm thinking of fitting a Subaru 2l SOHC and gearbox to mt Apal 356 Speedster Replica. I'm not intending to DIY, I want to find a reliable company to do this for me. I want to avoid companies that escalate the cost after you have committed, as I have a fixed budget, so escalation would completely sink me. I'm also hoping to have this done whilst I'm in hospital having very extensive surgery for advanced cancer, so I won't be about to supervise the 'operation' on the car.

So, who are the good, the bad, and the ugly in this market?

I would prefer to deal with someone who has dealt with a Speedster as the bus and bug are rather different challenges.
