Default Who's got all the Beetle Cup race cars

There were around 45 cars built for the series

Where have they all gone, can account for 13 of them.

Have you got one dead or alive???

there were more than 45, 50odd kits were sold by 93/94.
where's the Julian Lock '76?! it always sounded so sweet.
last i knew that went to howard redhouse.
i'm 27 now and sort of lost touch with the cup when the series dropped cadwell park when i was about 15or16. always wanted a go, i guess i was born to late...!

After it went to Howard Redhouse it was sold to Mark Lord who still has it painted up as Herbie(53). Dumped with a blown motor and needing a heater channel, sat rotting last time I spoke with him. Said it's going for 500

Also Shown Matt French (5) and Gary Kinchin (37)
Matt French had the ex Peter Keys car that was Day-Glo Green, and changed it to White & Yellow backed by Tubbs V-Dubs Then into the Herbie look, then painted it dark metallic Blue, was for sale on here not to long ago for 1500.
Car 37 was originally Les Goble's, painted in Red/Yellow, then sold to Stuart Scott who had it painted in the Paragon Day-Glo orange and Yellow zippy paint scheme to match his other car, he then sold it to Gary Kinchin who ran it like that for a while before painting it in Herbie colours, then it finally finished in Black and Silver inspired by McLaren, he still has it in storage.

49 Les Goble & 5 Peter keys with there original owners.

i remember the french car, it had a stitch effect between the colours.
500? i like the sound of that for the lock car

who was the old guy with the turquoise bug, he built it for his daughter but raced it himself. think he managed the series or something later on, warner or something maybe

That was Richard warner had a very similar coloured car to me, he raced as number 13. His Daughter had a Pale Yellow car number 31, when her dad stopped racing she took the number 13.

I remember that! but do you remember the colour?

Matt French in the paint scheme he was best known for

Gary Kinchin (37) with Richard warner (13), Matt (5) is the other Herbie and Andy Greenslade (27) with his Yellow car that he still has in storage.

when i painted my car a couple of years later i couldn't find the code and so it ended up in Porsche Coppaflorioblau which is a lot lighter bluey/turquoise
