Chat/Discussion Kind of like a VW club online - you can sit in our virtual pub and talk about whatever you want to. All opinions are valid, but please no insulting (other than to our intelligence,) abusive or libellous posts. Please feel free to post your opinion on any given subject, but also be aware that others have the equal right to disagree with you - and some will certainly tell you so. No 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your business, links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (please use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled "What's my car worth?" threads too (please use the 'Dude! What's My Car Worth?' forum) - and please don't use just to post links to other VW forums or websites - we are aware that other sites exist (obviously), but blatant 'plugs' (poaching) will simply be deleted.

Basically buying a log book and vin plate to reshell that. There was one a couple of years ago made the news, was on bangers and cash, think it got 23k but had to be lifted on a pallet it was so bad.

I've seen a few very crude "reshelled" early 70s minis. No attempt made at all to make look older. Blatant 90s mini.

This one is rare though and would need to be done correctly. Think you can buy a new shell still and the value of that car finished would be worth it.

Sounds like the car was there long before he bought the house so how has he manged to get a V5. If it's an old green logbook you might run into problems

Pic of a V5 in the advert so he must have got it sorted.

Funny the other one I'd posted link too that was on bangers and cash was found in garage of a house someone bought, buried under pile of old newspapers. Why do I never find anything cool like that when I buy a gaf lol.

How many people would just call the scrap man to lift it and bin it
