Engineering Tech A Q & A Forum devoted to Engineering Issues that don't necessarily fall into Aircooled or Watercooled Tech. Got a problem? Or an engineering question? Even a buildings or property engineering question? Then ask in here. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

Default Building your own teardrop trailer

I'm on holiday at moment and while round the pool decided I'm going to build a teardrop trailer.
Scoured net and found a trailer tent locally for 100 going to pick up when I get back
Anyone done this or can point me to a website rather than me trawl and use all my data!!!!!

Any more info Mr slug data is getting tight!
Good quality 3/4 marine ply is now over 80 a sheet I had considered making the shell framework from light guage steel box then skin in 1/2 inch wbp cheaper Chinese stuff but I'm not familiar with caravan or teardrop construction
Looking at 3mm pvc sheets to bond on finish off

I've just had a look for you, the search comes back that Nige hasn't started any threads, so it's probably playing up. Hope this stops you wasting data.

Some excellent reference in the links, have a bit more insight into construction now.
Back at work Monday going to have a chat with machinist on CNC see if he will let me use to cut sides,if not may be using my apprentice as part of his level 3!
This is all pie in the sky though as I have to finish beetle/shed/patio/repair t25 before I can start
The problem with holidays and relaxing is it gives you too much the to think
