Engineering Tech A Q & A Forum devoted to Engineering Issues that don't necessarily fall into Aircooled or Watercooled Tech. Got a problem? Or an engineering question? Even a buildings or property engineering question? Then ask in here. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

Default Upcycle suggestions please

Today I was given an exhaust manifold off an F1 V8 Farrari - simply because I picked it up and appreciated it's sheer engineering excellence and beauty.

Now, how can I best display it?

I thought about up cycling into a lamp, or maybe a support for a glass coffee table, but really can't imagine how to do that.

Maybe just make a big oak 'picture frame' and nail it on the wall.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say sneak it into the house, then if you get away with it for a couple of days, consider it Your carte-Blanche to go ahead & buy the rest of the car to fit.

Or do a Mr Slug & murder another car to make the car to fit!

Keep us posted!

Hi there.

Have you still got this and what did you end up doing to/with it to show it off?
