Chat/Discussion Kind of like a VW club online - you can sit in our virtual pub and talk about whatever you want to. All opinions are valid, but please no insulting (other than to our intelligence,) abusive or libellous posts. Please feel free to post your opinion on any given subject, but also be aware that others have the equal right to disagree with you - and some will certainly tell you so. No 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your business, links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (please use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled "What's my car worth?" threads too (please use the 'Dude! What's My Car Worth?' forum) - and please don't use just to post links to other VW forums or websites - we are aware that other sites exist (obviously), but blatant 'plugs' (poaching) will simply be deleted.

I have Glastonbury tickets on ‘hold’. I’d realised it wouldn’t happen this year but to hear confirmation today was a bit of a gutter. I don’t think we’ll see much on ‘gatherings’ until August really. Another odd year ahead. I’d initially thought we might get away at Easter but I’ve canned that plan too.

My Mum, Dad & Sister (NHS worker) have all had Pfizer jab one now. Great rollout but I’m waiting to see if/when the second jabs start?

My father is due his jab but they don't seem to be equipped to come out to the homes of people with mobility issues and the GPs round these parts have all been AWOL since last March.

Covid has swept through the nursery my wife works at and taken out the manager, the other deputy and the admin lady. Luckily my wife was running another nursery up until Monday. She was only with the other deputy for a few minutes on Monday before she felt ill and went for a test. Annoying as it's Mum's 75th birthday on Sunday and I was going to pop round for a brew and some birthday cake. It now looks like I'll be handing over some presents on her doorstep and heading home again, but I'd rather that than risk my wife having it and passing it on to me and neither of us having symptoms.

The good news is Mum gets her jab tomorrow morning

I really feel for anyone that's been affected one way or another by this, hopefully by the middle of the summer we'll be on the home stretch to some kind of normality.

Lockdown 1.0; tried to buy a house

Lockdown 2.0; sold my house and lost the buyer

Lockdown 3.0 - Revenge of the banana bread; sold my house and had an offer accepted on a knackered Victorian house today

I shall now be skint for the next 5 years and am formally announcing that I won't be looking at the Car & Classic or Porsche 996 thread again
