Default Gordale Scar, Malham, Yorkshire Dales

Lots of people will know this one - the reviews can paint a rough picture of facilities but the campsite is in stunning scenery and the facilities are perfectly adequate - 1 mile walk down to Malham on a Summer evening for a few beers and some scran - nice stream through the site for the kids, fantastic waterfall at the other end of the site.

I've been going there for over 20 years now ... bank on 9 a night for a couple plus van (awning add a pound)

Fantastic scenery. Great site.
Facilities very very very basic but adequate as already said.
Yard of house is a bit amusing as malcolm the owner does not throw anything away, if you want a used disposable bbq then there are thousands to choose from!!! LOL.
We paid this week 13 a night for two adults, a child, camper and awning.
Can get a bit rowdy at weekend with all the Chavs going to camp and get drunk, no warden or anything to keep check and no mobile signal.
If you are a walker or just love stunning scenery then this is the site for you.
Local pubs in village pretty good to.

I know this is an old thread but I'm a newbie, just joined and I've been trying to remember the name of this campsite for ages after someone told me about it, so thanks!
