Default 1303 starter motor

how do u get it off,have taken live,earth,and 15mm nut off but wheres the other nut,all i can find is a weird lookin thingy (in the most arse of an awkward place )in the shape of a half moon,is this a threaded rod shootin the opposite direction and if so how do u get to the nut,

HELP,me only got one knuckle left to skin

The other end of the half moon bolt is in the engine bay. It is also the top right engine securing bolt ie. it does both. It has a head that shape so the bolt can't go round with the nut when you try to undo it.(17mm ring spanner)

thought it was sumthing like that,how much do i need to strip out the bay to get to that bad boy then

Just the airfilter assy. if you have a stock one, then put your hand round the back of the fan housing and find it. A bright light and mirror might help you first time round. Have a grope in the fan at the same time to check for anything stuck in the blades, worth doing while you're there.

aint that tough after all,all i need now is the right bloody starta mota to fill the hole as the guy at GSF gave me a different one,

A new starter (when you get the right one) comes with a new bush attached. Fit the new bush, don't skimp on it.
