Default how much to take tyres off?

how much do you pay for old tyres to be taken off rims(just taken off no tyre disposal)?i just had to pay 12 for 4 big tyres(7x14,8x15 rims)to be taken off some slotmags,it was less than 20 minutes work and the tyre bay wasn,t doing anything.i thought 2 a tyre would be plenty.

Your paying for the disposal of said tyres for most of that cost. They have to dispose of then correctly not just dump then down the nearest country lane

36/hr is cheap, you are lucky. My guess is that 2/3rds of the price is overheads so 12/hr for the fitter is very reasonable unless you want him to work for less than the minimum wage?

I find as a general rule that if i'm asking someone to do a job for me, I ask how much its going to cost before work commences, then I have the option to shop around.
was it a proper garage or one of those kwik-shit type companies?
