Still on the lookout for a cheapish 3x6m gazebo/marquee thing to work under. Yesterday was the first day this year it hasn't rained and i was busy doing other stuff so couldn't crack on with my bug. Ain't it always the way?

Not sure how they'd stand up to any sort of wind though. You could virtually spit through some of the really cheap ones.

I've not touched my bug for over 2 months now and its doing my head in.
What work can i do on it inside (where its warm and dry) that isn't likely to cover the kitchen in oil/grease?

The engine is done, gearbox is still in the car, seats are clean and I've cleaned and rebuilt the speedo and radio.
I can't free up the pedals as they are rusted solid.

What else can i do?

No snow here. Being right on the coast we don't tend to get it that much. 2010 was the last year of any proper snow. Just get strong winds and bloody cold.

Decided to disassemble the wiper motor and linkage today to give them a clean up and a coat of satin black paint.
Took a few photos of how the linkage fitted together and the whole lot are corrupt so i'm left with a bag of parts and no idea which bits go where.

Still in two minds whether to get a gazebo to work under. Been warned about the flammability of them if welding/grinding near them and the fact they like to blow away in the wind.

Heres the space it would go in (that my camper is currently sat on) if i did get one.

I reckon if i don't buy one it'll be months before i actually do any work outside.
I've run out of things to do inside now and its finally started snowing too.

Been told by my missus that threre no way in hell i can bring the gearbox and axles into the kitchen to clean them up.
