Both of these are being auctioned at NEC in November. There was an XL1 auctioned last year at the same event. This one has lower guide price as the interior doesn't have the best description. I'd much rather choose the Golf if I had to pick one of these.
To me the XL1's have that something...I have seen a lot of supercars being used on the road, but I have not yet seen a XL1 in the flesh, at a show, on the road, anywhere. I haven't gone looking, but then I haven't gone looking for the supercars.
I have TOP555 supercar dealer near me, so I see my fair share of pricey cars.
I'd pass on the Lambo, scrape a few more quid together and buy an XL1.
The RHD Alfa Montreal is a rare beast. Would be £80k~£100k when finished. Although I suspect you’d need to pump £50k into a resto depending on how complete and/or rusty it is.

You there all weekend?
If you get the chance try and take a look round the classic Ford stand.
There are 2 Escort mk1 1300Es on there.
A blue and a purple one.
Restored from the ground up almost completely from NOS parts.
Not seen the cars myself but seen the build threads.
Going to try and make it up there next year.
