The car was slightly overpressurising and coolant leaking from the overflow in the expansion tank (leaking passed the cap) but not over heating.
Turns out it was caused by a blocked heater matrix
Not diagnosed by me but i got the gig of doing the head gasget.
Wasn't to bad a job if memory serves.
Bit tight at the back of the head as theres not a great deal of room because of the bulkhead.
In the end i looked at the engine in my pd powered Seat Leon to figure out where the bolts etc are located and went from there.
