Default Improving in car DAB reception

Ive just bought a car (2015 French) and the in built stereo/media system is quite good. However, the DAB is terrible. It just wont stay on for longer than a few seconds before losing signal. My previous car had a DAB/Bluetooth module thing I bought from Aldi and had a stick on ribbon windscreen aerial. It worked perfectly. So its not the area I live in.
I do remember that my old car DAB would suffer if I used a cigarette lighter USB socket and it would dilute the signal.
This car has a dedicated USB socket, AUX socket (3.5mm jack) and 12v cigarette lighter. All have been unplugged and not in use and the DAB still suffers. Any ideas on how to improve the signal?

For what it’s worth, have a good check on the rear screen, my car, a Volvo has the dab antenna running on there with the rear heated demister. Something in the boot at some point has caught one of the strips which now means the dab looses signal when I turn the rear heated screen on... food for thought...

Seriously I have had 2 newer VWs with DAB and they both had rear screen aerials which happen to lose DAB reception with the rear heater on, its the nature of DAB!

Apparently some cars with a built in sat nav sometimes have the same problem with it cutting the DAB signal too. Ain't technology great?

The dealer did fix the issue with an adhesive paint pen that is conductive, to reestablish the connection but it didn’t last very long!
