Default site on lake windermere

stayed here in october 2007 and had a lovely week

very friendly staff, who were excellent at keeping my ice packs cold when me coolbox broke!!

is mostly a site for static caravans, but there are a few pitches set in the middle of the campsite for caravans etc.

a 5 min walk from the shores of windermere

u will have to drive to get to a pub or town, but there is a small well stocked shop on site. the toilet/shower facilities are excellent. certainly the best shower facilities i've ever seen on a campsite

I love the lakes

A very good friend of mine has a boat on Windermere, he takes you sailing and feeds you

no unfortunately not all the static caravans are on the water's edge. but as the touring pitches are in one area, it's only a 5min walk down to the edge of the lake
