Default Lake District Campsites?

Looking for a campsite in the Lake District - any recommendations would be great.

Campsite needs..
Shower and toilets
Open fires
Prefer forest camping but not essential

Thanks in advance..

hi,
We use Gill Head Farm. The owners have a bay...
There is a huge log cabin common room with comfy sofa's, a tv and indoor barbecue for those rainy days. Outside there are hard standings arranged in a circle around a large grassed area with the kids trampolines and climbing frame in the middle. There is a rally field for tents.
All in whole its a friendly site in Keswick so nice and central.
Hope it helps

We did the one in the centre of Keswick which was very good. Caters well for kids and if it's your first time in that area, you're handy for all the touristy stuff.

Hi

I ended up staying at The National Trusts campsite in Great Langdale. Probably the best campsite I've ever been to. Amazing location and NO caravans

Campervans have their own area / carpark.
