I needed a VW garage recently - I was recommended V dub factory in Newport Gwent. It's a small place, but will be expanding soon. Found them helpful & friendly. Honest too. I thought my alternator bearings needed changing, but they took a look at it and advised otherwise. They could have easily said yes, changed them & charged me a fortune.

Take them to court and they run to the hills, not to be found by Trading Standards, then in court, state that they complied with Trading Standards.
Have your van poorly prepped then simply sprayed over non sanded back base, and engine pillaged of good parts. Take them to the local court, and find them rather familiar with defendants. Expect to lose the case, and where another company involved to rectify original repairs, that any proven costs or damage are applied to that 2nd company (as against its director) and therefore unrecoverable.
Avoid at all costs.
